Round is reshaping its business and closing its café at Iso-Roobertinkatu

Today, 12 March 2026, we are closing our café at Iso-Roobertinkatu 2.

Round has been built through several separate companies as part of our risk management model, and some of the companies operating unprofitable cafés are now being wound down through bankruptcy proceedings. At the same time, the chain is going through a debt restructuring process, and during this period we have had to make careful decisions about which parts of the business are sustainable in the long term.

Over the past two years, the drop in consumer purchasing power has had a major impact across the café and restaurant industry. In this situation, some of our locations have simply become too expensive to keep running.

The Iso-Roobertinkatu café has been part of the Round story for nearly six years. We first welcomed customers at Iso-Roobertinkatu 16, where we spent four years, and for the past year and a half we have been serving you from Iso-Roobertinkatu 2.

At the same time, we are reshaping Round for the future. Alongside the café closures, we are putting a strong focus on wholesale and resale opportunities. We are currently in active discussions with several major retail chains about bringing Round products to a wider audience, and B2B sales will play an important role in what comes next for us.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited us over the years. Your support has meant a lot. We are also deeply grateful to all of our partners who have been part of building Round with us. While one chapter is closing, Round is continuing forward in a new form.
